Well, the answer is simple, really..youve stepped into an interdimensional rotating centrifugal wormhole of the 4th dimension(duh!), confined only to the immediate locality of the VCR. So as long as you stay close to the VCR, time will have stopped..but only for you...Time still goes on in the rest of the world. So, theres really no benefit to you!

Awesome! The only problem is that it's now permanently midnight on Tuesday, January 1st.
At least that's what my VCR reads. What if our VCRs are different? Oh no, we've ripped the fabric of space and time!
