Going by the current form I think it was a right decision by the BCCI to drop Sachin from the one-day squad. But what about Sourav maan!!! What wrong has he done to be dropped from the side?? I mean hes been in really good form since he made his comeback into the Indian team. Just look at his scores after he made his return to the team and you'll find he has consistently scored a lot of half centuries (though a century has eluded him). I feel its an absolutely wrong decision to drop Sourav from the one-day team. The selectors have picked up a relatively new squad with many new faces for the Bangladesh tour and dropped the senior experienced players instead. But I hope the move doesn't backfire against an inform and a formidable Bangladesh team.

Bangladesh tour is an ideal platform for experimentation. In view of the pathetic performance of Indian Team in the world cup, it is a top priority to strengthen the team by inducting some talented youngsters in place of non-performers. Hence some players from the existing team have to be dropped in order to give chance to deserving youngsters. It has been clarified by Dilip Vengsarkar, the Chief Selector that Sachin and Ganguly has been just rested in order to give opportunities to some youngsters and that in future also the process of resting some players will continue.

Sachin is not selected, it's ok.. but why Ganguli dropped?
Infact worst part is to select Rahul as Captain.
Gaguli has performed well and he is better than Mongia or Sewagh as per current performance.Ganguli should be in team as Captain with a young guy as V-Captain. That young person could learn from Ganguli about captainship.
Sachin should opted out by himself instead of dropping by Selectors.

It's a bad decision. It's a stand in the middle decision. It should either have been to drop them for both ODI and test or to keep them for both.
This is more to give in to the big hype and the egos of these big name players.

It's a terrible decision because I think they are capable to open the innings and put up a hugh score in a hurry.
