Once you love, you cannot take it back, cannot undo it. What you felt may have changed, shifted slightly, yet still remains love!

i plainly feel.. that you may not luv the person with the same pasion .. intensity .. but it remains .. ofcourse the degree is scanty ... Also i think this quoteapplies mostly to the lovers..who had to move away or broke up w.o any big problems like cheating ,abuse etc!

I agree completely. Love is such a strong emotion that it never truly goes away. It changes; you might not love someone the same way anymore. I just don't think you can ever say you now truly hate someone you once loved. The anger you feel is made all the more stronger by the fact that you still, deep down, feel for them.

I dont agree. I was in love with one of my exes. And I didnt just think I was in love-it was real love. He ended up cheating on me with several different women. He also did other things that contributed to our breaking up (like lying all the time). I hate him now. It makes me sad to know that I once loved him and he said he loved me but then he stomped all over my heart without even caring. But I guess nearly everybody goes through that. Makes me a stronger person (and a better judge of character). I am now in a happy relationship with a guy I've been with for 3 years and we havent had any big problems. A few little arguments here and there but it wouldnt be a healthy relationship if we never argued right? : )

Love is stateless. Love cannot be objectified. Love exists only as do colors and shapes; it's nothing more than a concept -- a label -- which we can cast upon our feelings. Just as a box can be square or red, feelings can be love.

Just as we can paint a red box black in the here and now, we can color our feelings from love to something different at any time. However, we've not changed the fact that our feelings _were_ love any more than we've changed the fact that the box _was_ red.

What was shall remain so, forever. What is, now, is all that really matters.

you cannot change what you once felt but that feeling does change if the person changes.if your husband or wife cheats,or beats you, lies to you is abusive to you or your children or becomes a drunk or a drug addict any of these reasons are why you may not love this person anymore and could hate them and wish you had never known them.love can only remain as a distant ember of the past in those cases or not at all.

I do believe that no matter what happens, those we have loved we will always have love for - it may change in the degree though. I love all my ex boyfriends in different ways for the lessons I learned and out of respect for them...but do I want to get back together with any of them - no! I'm glad to be married and have my husband now.

I agree with it. Once youre in love you stay in it! Although your feelings may not be the same for the person anymore or they may have slightly moved aside as you have fallen for someone else. But if you really and truly love someone you always carry a place for them in your heart no matter what. If not then it was just LUST and you couldnt tell the difference.

take it you still in love...??

I disagree, I've had a few relationships over the years & at the time I'd say was love, today I have no feelings of love towards them.... you can not undo it but you fall out of love in time. it depends on how the relationship was or is, some relationships can end good & some bad.

i agree. I feel we meet people for a reason, and I loved my ex and still do. Even though we dont get along FABULOUSLY, I learned alot about love and myself from being with him. I will always have a big place in my heart for him (even though I am dating someone else)

Sure, I agree. Once I give someone a part of my heart, they will always have it. The strength of love has changed, but it's still there.

I somewhat do. I think you can't take back that you have loved someone but you can fall out of love. And i also think once you have truly loved someone they stay with you forever (not literaly you know what I mean!! :P) and they will always be special to you.
