It flies right-side-up just below the ceiling, then reaches up with the front legs and ends in a quick flip facing backwards.

I read somewhere that it reaches up and places its front legs on the ceiling first, and then flips upside down (so now the fly is facing backwards).

So it does a loop.

roll.. the flies seem to be especially agile about longitudinal axis of their body.

but the theory of catching with front legs.. that seems to be the very best:)
