I told my ex girlfriend in an email that she was cheeky whore and and stupid ***** and she should leave me alone and never talk to me again.

I was Moving the next day after I sent that email and Before she read the email I went to her house and apologised and gave her a Teddy bear.

We talked and I gave her the bear and told her where I was moving to and we told each other bye. Before I left she told me she was afraid to read the emails. I told her to just delete them and that was it.

When I arrived at my new house I went on the internet, it was early in the morning and she was online. She told me thanks for the bear again and that she read what i sent her and that it was amusing and when someone insults her she just laughs about it. I told her I didnt mean any of it, and told her i was jet lag and was gonna crash. I appeared offline and she signed off two minutes after me.

My Question is: Why did she think that my insults were amusing and why she did she laugh about it?

She didnt think they were amusing. She was upset by them, but she felt she had no right to be, since you already apologized to her and she accepted your apology.

She had to come up with a reason to just laugh it off. She made up the excuse that it was amusing b/c she doesnt know how to feel about it right now.

I can guarantee you that after she gets her feelings in order and figures out how she feels about the email, she will be steaming mad. But she may or may not mention it to you.

Maybe she gave you the benefit of the doubt because you forwarned her. Just because she said she laughed doesn't mean she did. All that was meant to say was that she was fine with what she read and you should be fine with it too.
In the future don't send an email unless you wait 24 hours in draft to make a final decision whether to send it or not.

Maybe because she thinks you are an amusing person. She may have taken the insults to heart and just laughed to try and cover up her hurt feelings.

Some people honestly don't care what others have to say about them. It's their own personal view of themselves is what matters. That or like you said you were mad or something when you said it and didn't mean it. Maybe next time just keep your mouth shut or don't say anything if you don't have anything nice to say. Just a thought you know.

Most people who insult others do so because they have issues with themselves and not the person they insult. My guess would be that your ex girlfriend realizes this. So, kudos to her for being a rational, insightful person.

Because she knew you didn't mean it and that was the best way to let bygones be bygones. Maybe she doesn't have the intense feelings to get mad about it. I do find it amusing when someone I don't really care about insults me.

Just a hunch, but I think she finds you childish for those "remarks" you made about her. Believe if anyone called me a cheeky whore or a stupid **** I would kick that person's ***.

The question is: Why would you be so mean to her in the email? Personally, I'm proud of her for shrugging it - and you - off. You have given me no evidence as to why she deserved this treatment, so I would say just be glad she isn't now calling YOU names.

She may have just been hurt and wanted to conceal those feelings from you. You obviously know how to spell (a rare ability on yahoo answers ) so it wouldn't be that.

Perhaps she realized that you made amd sent the e-mail when you were upset. Besides, you already apologized about your action. She forgave you.

If you really wish to find out, please ask her. She is the best person to explain her action.
