I started today but it was just training , tomorrow ive gotta get on the phone and sell. Ive been in sales ages but i am not the quickest learner but once i know what i am doin i am great, something i try not to mention at interviews as employers generally like fast learners. Any tips on how to compose myself and not fall flat on my face????????

no you will not suck, you will be brilliant and set new records.
I have no tips for you because I believe you already know what to do and how to do it.
Best wishes!

Breathe deeply and slowly, and visualize yourself closing sales. Keep notes on what to say in different situations handy.
Basicly, believe in yourself.
In sales, you must be positive, and not take 1 rejection to heart.
Don't forget, if a customer objects to something that you say, they are interested. Use that interest to sell. Always Be Closing. ABC.
Always ask for the sale, when they say yes, shut up and write it up, and ask if they want several.

Expect about 1/50 people to actually stay on phone once they know your selling something, my brother does some marketing work and told me they only expect 2% pick up from most telesales operaters.

I gess my point is, dont be upset but the number of people uninterested its expected.

Just keep thinking that this is a job and you have to play a part. Telephone sales are very difficult but just use the script that they give you and add a little personality. You will do fine!

You'll do fine. You could learn at normal speeds, you're just too hard on yourself. Just remember not to overload yourself. Don't try to learn everything at once. Just tell yourself that you'll get it eventually if you start getting flustered. What seems hard one day will just be routine in a week. Good luck.

You will be fine, you know you are capable of doing the job, your employers have confidence in you thats why they employed you. Just be yourself and use your previous experiance. Tomorrow you will ask on yahoo answers " What was i worried about ? " .

just be confident you will do fine.if you are a little unsure that is normal you could ask your friends if you could call them and practice a bit the evening before you start for a bit more practice also your friends or family could give you feedback as to what you do well and what you could do better.good luck.

take notes, notes, and more notes. I have the worst short term memmory ever and I would fail misserably at my job if it weren't for my list of reminders keeping me in line. Good luck!

Watch what others are doing and mimic for a while, once you get comfortable at what everyone else is doing, create your own style.
