This is arguable, of course. But even dermatologists we've read tout La Roche-Posay Anthelios XL Lait SPF is the best sunscreen in the world. Why does this sunscreen work so well? Because of the chemical "Mexoryl," well-known all over the world to protect skin from wrinkle-causing UVA rays. (Most sunscreens only protect against UVB rays).

eitakydennek is absolutely correct. Get a Canadian or European sunscreen containing Mexoryl, such as La Roche Posay's Anthelios. American sunscreens are sub-par because they contain ingredients that break down too easily or do not provide a wide enough range of protection.

If you have sensitive skin, anything labeled "baby sunblock" with an SPF of 45-50 will protect you best, w/o possible skin reaction. I like "NoAd" and the Walgreens store brand. I have very sensitive (red-head) skin and never have a reaction to either.
