I applaud Arsenal for their stand against the takeover. I think it would be detrimental to Arsenal to let Kroenke take over. The passion that is created by EPL is that all the investor put their heart and souls into their teams. Kroenke has teams here in the state and will just add Arsenal to his collection. He is patetically trying to ruin EPL and Arsenal. I'm from the states and I think Arsenal needs to keep Kroenke from achieving the takeover at all costs. Anyone agree?

ok...you can stop hitting the "submit" button now...

BTW, Kroenke is certainly not "trying to ruin the EPL and Arsenal". Why would he want to buy control of a "ruined" business with no future?

He 's in it just to make money....just like the current board of directors are. They are just protecting their own investment from a hostile take-over bid, and it has nothing to do with upholding the integrity of English football or any such nonsense.

Its just about money, and who can make the most profit by owning Arsenal, thats all.

I am on supper double D's side of this. Look at the stadium we are in. We are not against an influx of outside cash. Like any takeover it is important to know how much debt will be coming with the take over but as far as we can tell Man U's "massive debts" have not been a hinderance that we all hoped it would be.

As to the heart of the club is concerned. Out side of kroenke's 12 percent, David's 12 percent. Who actually own's shares? Sport is suppose to be the common folks sport. Other then being priced out at the gate, Lady Nina Braithwaitship owns a good chunk as well. Can you name the people on your board?

I think that if the transfer goes smoother then the Liverpool one it can only bring good things to the club. Most likely even bring DD back which I believe we need.

That's what everybody said about Malcolm Glazer and Manu....But, look, Manu are talking about the possibility of a treble, winning the CL, they've just resigned C. Ronaldo, and now everything looks rosy. I really doubt this guy is putting up his millions as part of an evil plot "to ruin EPL and Arsenal." Uhhh....why? C'mon, nobody spends that kind of money unless they're serious about success.

doesn't really matter to me but it just seems like americans are more and more infiltrating the epl - that i can't say i'm happy about - i wasn't exactly pleased when the glazers took us over but now i honestly have no complaints - it hasn't affected us negatively at all......so....u know.....

arsenal has to seriously sit down and decide what they think is in the club's best interest. not only now but in the long term.......i mean it's clear they need some new players and that must be their top priority - how best to achieve that.......

it's a complicated thing though......

Like it or not...The EPL has hit the American investors radar as the next 'big thing' in sports ownership. Just wait until they get there hands on the television broadcast revenues.

I wonder how they'll do when one of their multi-million dollar investments get relegated after a poor season.

i fully expect them to lobby against relegation of teams in about 10 years once they gain a better foothold
