I hate:
- names with extremely strange spellings
- names that were originally last names (Parker, Sawyer, etc)
- days of the week, months, seasons, or cities/places
- random words/cutsie words(such as Precious, Chastity, etc.)
- twin (or other multiple birth) names that rhyme, start with the same letter, have themes, or are the same but male and female versions (i.e. Justin and Justina)
- and some old names aren't all that nice like Harriet, Henrietta, Ethel, Larry, etc.

I think some people forget that they're not just naming a baby, they are naming a human being. Thre baby will only be a baby for a year or so, and will eventually grow into a teen, adult, and elderly person. Names should be chosen that fit all walks of life.

Actual names used by some of the clients I worked with-

Orangejello and Lemonjello for her twins (saw the SS cards for these two myself-named for the jello flavors mom liked at the hospital)
Nike
Dymond
Angel
LeBroster (boy name)
Porche
Lexus
Brookelyn (that is how it was spelled)

The list goes on and on-the bottom line is that some day these kids will want to go to college or get a job and no one will take them seriously with names like this. These kids are given a handicap with these dumb names. Trust me-in my circle of social work buddies we had contest to see whose client used the worst name-people don't think when they name these kids.

I know what u mean! When I was working someperson paid with a check and their name was Kymberleigh...how wierd. lol! I mean my daughter's name is Celena but it's not spelled stupid.. Just one letter changed...from S to C... But one of the worst names I've heard are Henrietta... But one thing that gets on my nerves is when someone names their BOY: Ashley or some other name that's meant for girls...u kno how bad they're gonna get picked on in school.... I also hate when a GIRL is named something boyish like: Tommy or Joe or Alex or something... I know the last two are short for something but still...u know if kids are able to shorten their names that they're gonna shorten their names... anyway... I also hate it when they're names are hard to pronounce!

I hate it when people name a kid by the opposite gender. My son's name is Christian, and I've heard of people saying it for a girl name. It's definately a strong male name. Oh and states, Georgia, Virginia, someone even suggested Alabama. YUCK! I also don't like them named after months. I think alot of City names are cute though.

Read my question. Those are the most horrible names I could come up with, that's why it was a joke! Anyway, those, and Orangejello, Fruit Juice, Shithead, and the like are also equally as horrible!

LOL Kiki, I'm going to have to add PilotInspektor to my list of possible names on my question!

Personally I don't care much for the "last-name first-names" like Taylor or Anderson, Parker, Madison etc. Unless it is the family name that you want to keep going, I guess that's OK but otherwise they always seemed a little silly to me.
