Aren't there Israeli suicide bombers also?

Question

I remember reading several articles about them a year or so ago. Even saw some articles in the Jewish newspaper "Haaretz'..
Why don't we hear about them?

Seems improbable.

When you have the military might of Israel, you don't need to resort to suicide bombings. Heck, Israelis have to serve in the military - if you're that hot to blow up Palestinians, you have ample opportunity. An Israeli suicide bomber would have to be someone so incompetent that the military wouldn't let him hold a gun, so hateful & unstable that he'd blow himself up, but still somehow cadgey enough to acquire a bomb without the benefit of the terrorist networks that recruit such desperate nutcases for the other side...

Suicide is very, very much against the Jewish religion even more so than it is against Christianity or Islam. So no religious Jew would ever commit a suicide bombing as such. The closest parallel I can think of is Baruch Goldstein, who entered a mosque and kept shooting until he ran out of bullets, at which point it was a near certainty that the enraged survivors would (and did) beat him to death.

EDit: And oh yeah, there is Samson in the Bible, but he lacked the technology to be a bomber.

If they do exist (and if you can find that article, id love to see it) then we dont hear about them because Israel is a major US ally. Its euphamism time then! Because the term "terrorist" or "suicide bomber" is usually used to denote someone we consider to be an enemy and that we want to strip of legitamacy. As far as the US is concered, Israeli violence is legitimate and therefore not "terrorism."

If you can provide a link to a legitimate news report of such an event, I'd be curious to see it. Obviously, the majority, if not all of the suicide bombers are coming from the Palestinian camp.

I don't know what you read, but there have been NO Israeli suicide bombers. None. Nada. Zip. Zero.
