Me and my husband love each other .... We initiate sex equally, am probably litte more on higher end...still he lovingly says 'I will rape u' even tho i never say no to him for sex...is this common with married couples or way of saying "i want u more than u think ?"

It sounds like he is just playing with you.
I wouldn't take it seriously

Like some others have said here - it could be flirting or joking....but you already knew this otherwise you wouldn't be on here confessing this to people who go through the same thing all the time. You mentioned this for a deep underlying worry about your husband being able to rape another woman. Maybe you are more worried or concerned than you make yourself out to be, afterall, everyone knows that rape is about power!

It is hard to say... You know your husband and you hold the answer to your question. Maybe he dreams of having it a little rougher with you... Jokingly some night say to him I'm ready to be raped and see what happens, make sure yoyu have on old ripped up clothes so that he can rip them off you! I jump at the chance to rip my husbands clothes off everytime he has a holy shrit or paints on, he at first gets mad sayig he doesn't have money to buy new but really he likes it too and this is my way of knowing he won't wear those again.... I think he is just messing around with you though.

I would not tka that lightly. I know that you too are married but that is extremely unacceptable. Why would he have to rape you when you initiate the sex. I would be aware of that comment. Say for instance you were not in the mood to have sex but he really wanted to I think that would be the time that he would force you to have sex with him. That's a really big yellow caution tape right there.

We I would hope that he is not serious, that is a horrible thing to say. I was married for 18 years the 1st time and married 2 months now- never had that said to me.
Is he a violent person?

he doesn't really mean that he is going to rape you really it's just something that men always say to their lover at get some sex at the time it does not sound good but it is really a joke my husband has told me the samey hing before and I just tell him to come on and he better use a condom and we just laugh it off.

Normally using the word "rape" is not a good way to initiate sex. I am sure he can find much better words to use than "rape".

A little odd. But it sounds harmless—provided that he doesn’t hurt your feelings.

Rape is repulsive and should never be spoken of in an intimate relationship with someone you love.

Tell him to find another word.
