This past week-end I was on a trip with 3 friends. We traveled to a quaint little town in Northern Illinois for shopping. One of our friends has some physical disabilities and has difficulties gettting around. Another one has just recently lost 60 pounds, moves like the roadrunner and dosen't like to be slowed down. Well as soon as we got into town it became very obvious that roadrunner and the other friend were trying to ditch me and our friend with the handicap.
They continualy walked ahead of us and finally just seperated from us alltogether. It was agreed ahead of time that we would all shop and have lunch together as a group but we didn't see them again till it was time to leave. Now I'm feeling resentful because they didn't have the decency to let us know ahead of time what their plans were. In the end they knew that I was upset because since then I've given them the cold shoulder. I guess my question is, how should I have handled this? Did I over react? Thanks.

Well, short of leaving your disabled friend behind and physically dragging the other two back, I'm not sure what you could have done....

If these are women you want to continue to be friends with, then you need to ask them about what happened. They may not have realized just how rude they were being. If they apologize, then you accept and move on.

But if they're not an important part of your life, then just let it go.... life's too short to spend with people you don't particularly like.

Just face up to the fact you are no longer their friend or they would not have treated you in that manner so find new friends and good Luck

everybody feels bad if they are ditched in some way.
wat your friends did to you two was really mean.
it's not surprising you acted like that.
just keep quiet and try not bringing up the subject with
your friends. if they do it again, confront them and ask
why they are doing so.
