Im just wondering if summer school is an option also when you are in med school? Four years is okay, but just wondering!!

In the UK it is possible to do a fast-track course at Uni, though this involves a lot of cramming and devotion (as, of course, does the "normal" route!).
You then have to do your residency and further training in a hospital, I think for 4 years, before specializing.

It take eight years to get your MD, four years of schooling and four years of residency. There are no short cuts, most students spend summers working.
