I did that. I just recently started the 3rd row of pink pills on sunday (today is monday) and i am starting to spot. I don't understand why. i thought it wasn't suppose to come on until i get to the while pills which aren't until the end of the 4th row. I know i should probably consult my doctor but in the mean time, i need answers. also, i don't know if this means anything but i have PCOS. and that is initially why i started taking the pill anyway.

I started a low dosage of birth control about 3 months ago and i to had the spotting almost for 2 weeks. So i went to my doc and they told me that spotting is normal and it takes about 3 months for your body to get use to the birth control. She also said if it continues after the 3 months than to come back to the office. 3 months later, my period comes right on schedule (usually when i'm on the last row of pills) and no more spotting.

i hope this was helpful.Good luck

Okay take a deep breath.

First it can take a month or two for your body to get used to the pill, and become regulated and things may not go as you expect.

Now two things that can help, one call your doctor and just ask. Second if your doctor gave you a sample of Birth Control then there is an information sheet included and this can give you some good information.

Also, do to the website for the birth control you are on...this can sometimes tell you if what you are experiencing is typical.

When I was on bc the first 2 months I got my period before I got to the white pills, but my doctor said that it was normal and to keep taking the pills because after a couple of months it will regulate your period and you will get it on time. So just keep taking them and I would still call your doctor if you are worried about it.

It's normal when you first start taking birth control to have break threw bleeding, normally they recommend waiting 3 months before changing birth control because it will take your body that long to adjust. I don't know what kind your on, but if it's Yasmin you will have this for a couple of months but it will subside. I also have PCOS and take bc's.

The spotting could simply be a side effect of the hormones in the pills. But always check with your docotr just incase. It often takes time for your body to get used to the hormone intake.

It will take a few pill packs to get on track with your cycle and pills. Took me a few till it regulated with the pills.

spotting may occur when you start a new birth control because your body is reacting to the medication. you should be able to call the nurse today and leave a message with this if you are worried it isnt normal. also contact your local pharmicist they too can answer questions.

It could be that your prescription needs some adjustment. Every woman's body is different, what may work for one may not work for another. Consult your doctor again.

you should call your doc just to be sure but it could take a couple of cycles to get where you should be. I wouldn't worry but always safe to call the doc for you own sanity
