It seems incredible to me that so many people can forget that 2,974 innocent persons died with 24 still missing on the soil of the United States of America on September 11, 2001.

Any war we fight to rid the United States and the world of terrorism is just. Every life given in the name of freedom is sacred.

May God bless the United States of America and give her wisdom above the attacks of Satan not only from terrorists but from her own people that come from within. Long live George W. Bush who will go down in history as a patriot for freedom.

Nope, certainly have not forgotten. I agree with you on the rest of what you said. GW is a wonderful pres. who is out to make sure that 9-11 won't happen again. I just cannot figure out the "Americans" that want to end this war. It is not over, people. If we walk away, we are just opening the door for more terrorism to invade our homeland. Some people are blind. I feel sorry for them and for the future of the US because of the anit-Bush, anti-war people that might actually have a voter's registration. Ugh... Beginning of the end, I guess....

I absolutely remember 9-11. And I remember how Americans rallied together, and how the world rallied around America. It's nearly six years later, and where are we now? It is amazing that President Bush has been able to squander so much good will and support both here at home and abroad.

I have never understood the continuing adoration for President Bush in light of his actions (and inactions) since that day. The one thing most people remember him doing is grabbing that bullhorn and saying, "We are with you!" Most of the military response would have been carried out by any President. However, a better President might have thoroughly taken care of the real terrorist problem in Afghanistan before beginning an adventure elsewhere. Why in the world are we still having to fight the Taliban in Afghanistan? Because we drained resources from there to go to war in Iraq. There has never been a credible connection made between Iraq and 9-11. However, 19 out of the 20 terrorists were from Saudi Arabia, as is Bin Laden himself. And what have we done about Saudi Arabia other than beg them to keep selling us their oil?

The terrorists have exactly the person they want in the office of the American presidency. We are providing a training ground in Iraq which is leading to the spread of worldwide terrorism. And we supply them with plenty of live targets to shoot at. "Bring'em on" President Bush dared the insurgents. And they have--with a vengeance.

President Bush missed a great opportunity on 9-11 and in the days and weeks thereafter. He could have portrayed this as an act of barbarism against civilization. He could have pointed out that the killings were indiscriminate, resulting in the deaths of people from many countries and representing many religions, including Islam. He could have marginalized the the terrorists and asked the civilized world to work together. Instead, he immediately took it personally and made it out to be an attack on the U.S. solely, "them against us." He took off with his cowboy rhetoric ("dead or alive") and cowboy approach. All this from an administration filled with people who did everything they could to avoid active duty during the Vietnam War . . .

I remember 9-11. And I also remember all the lost opportunities since then. And I don't feel one bit safer.

Bush is one of the worst presidents of all time. In the 20 years following his administration we will see just how corrupt he really was.

He is as crooked as the day is long. He's also about as Christian as a crack smoking prostitute. He's taking the religious right for a ride and the rubes just keep eating it up. Enjoy the ride buddy.

The US should never have invaded Iraq. It was a mistake then but since Bush started the fight we are now stuck with the responsibility of finishing it. It's quite possible that we will be in that country after Bush dies from old age.

Your "god bless America" message is as wrong as can be. Guess what the terrorists and insurgents have to say. "God bless the insurgency and god bless this terrorist mission". That's what you get when you mix ingnorant extremists with a self-righteous belief in a supernatural cause of the universe. Although the terrorists are wrong as can be in their violence, the both of you share the same mind set.

I had to remember the anniversary of 9/11. There was bomb threat scrawled on the bathroom wall of my school earlier this week. But do you realize that much of 9/11 was caused by religious unrest? It's not the sole reason. Lots of people just hate America, but discrepancies in religion between us and the Middle East definitely had some play into it. This part of the feud wouldn't exist if religion didn't exist.

Novel, twisted argument. Now explain how our invasion of Iraq, which had no role, verified over and over, and even known at the time of our invasion, in 9/11 is related to fighting "terrorism"?

Terrorism is a term coined by the news media and politicians to foment fear and anger in the masses. Because we cannot pinpoint a "nation" that is attacking us, we must attack "terrorists" around the globe but especially in Iraq. Now the Bush govt. wants to attack Iran.

I was on my way to basic training when 9/11 happened! It was early and Kevin Bacon was in the Lobby at the holiday inn in charlotte nc and signed a friends shirt "D/DAY 9/11 KEVIN BACON" Then we left and went to Fort Jackson where we got a standing ovation for joining the army and coming even though we were going to war!

Pincollector's right about the fact that Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11. The two are completely unrelated and that was admitted by George Bush. If you believe they are connected, you are simply mistaken.

What in heavens name leads you to believe anyone who was in the U.S. then, over the age of 3, doesn't remember?

Whoever told you that was lying to you.

Of course we remember.

We also remember who was responsible. Many of us were opposed to going after the wrong people (the people of Iraq), who had NOTHING to do with it.

It's Bush who has been completely uninterested in going after those behind that attack.

Every life wrongly taken weakens us. By murdering over 600,000 Iraqis, and who-knows-how many other people, we have made terrorism a much greater problem than ever it was before.

And, by alienating everyone on the planet, we will have difficulty getting the cooperation we need to locate and stop the real terrorists.

Every human life is sacred; that's why it's wrong for us to commit mass murder of innocent people.

We aren't murdering Iraqis to fight terrorism; we're creating terrorism by murdering and torturing people.

If we used intelligence (and had a few people on the staff who understood Arabic -- which we STILL haven't done), and cooperated with other countries, and weren't in gross violation of international law, we'd be able to protect the innocent, rather than causing their slaughter.

We've inspired more terrorism and terrorists with our terrorist acts, than the state of Israel has with its persistent terrorist acts over the course of decades.

Wisdom would be nice.

Bush has none.

He will go down in history as a mass-murdering, torturing, raping, thieving, lying, corrupt traitor to his country.

Barring the Civil War, he is the worst thing that has ever happened to this country.

You don't protect and defend life and liberty by destroying both.

Enjoy your Kool-Aide.

Yes, I remember 911/2001, just as I remember the US invasions and killings in Kosovo, Panama, Libya and Grenada! But what is even more disturbing is the fact that the WTC was reported collapsed several minutes before building actually collapsed, suggesting fore-knowledge and, probably, an inside job! Please see:

WTC reported collapsed before building actually collapsed - http://www.prisonplanet.com/articles/february2007/260207building7.htm

Now, instigating situations just in order to go into war for economic reasons, is sadistic and diabolic! May the good God Almighty never allow creatures so wicked as to assume the lives of other people's children are worthless, to see another light of day! An unnecessary war based on lies upon lies, should never be unavenged! May all the engineers and war propagandists of the 2003 invasion of Iraq loss their senses and rot in hell, for every innocent life lost in the unnecessary invasion of Iraq!
