I suppose this is a very technical answer and not what you are looking for, but it might open your eyes in a helping way. Myers Briggs has a test online for $5, and it shows you your personality type and then there are 15 others. It goes into depth of all 16, I know because my daughter and I are complete opposites and I am broken hearted because when she flew the nest, she really flew. But as I have studied her personality a lot, I can see. She hates conflict and my conversation type is debative, just naturally. I don't try, I just have aggressive and competitive genes and like to glean info with a hearty discussion and I'm of German decent so that adds to it.

Because, humans are not that different than animals. We both have instinctal reactions to those who are different from ourselves. We see other cultures and races as threats, and so we act on our instincts and treat them as enemies. I have noticed, and i am not along, that you feel most comfortable around people your own race, religion, and/or geographical area.
So in short: Differences stand in the way of world peace
