Your Obgyn sounds like a quack, I don't know any doctor that would opt not for a test because it costs too much.
But anyways, you possibly could be pregnant and then again maybe not. I will tell you this, it's not normal to not have a period for 4 months and not be pregnant. My only advice would be to go to the doctor, (not your obgyn), demand a blood test. If the test comes back positive talk to a midwife or doctor and start getting prenatal care. If the test comes back negative you need to set up an appointment with a new obgyn because 4 months is too long to not have a period and something could be wrong inside.
Either way get rid of your current obgyn and tell then to them to take a class in patient relations.

Whether or not you are pregnant, if you have missed 4 months of periods when they had always been normal, you need to have your Dr. find out why. How long ago did you take the pregnancy test? Some pregnancy tests don't work until you are farther along so if you took it a few months ago you might want to redo it. The way you are describing what you are feeling (tummy noises, gas, etc.) doesn't sound like early pregnancy to me. I have had 3 pregnancies and never felt baby movement, etc. until later in the pregnancy. You should check it out though, just to ease your mind. If the blood test is to expensive, you can always do store bought ones. I used to do 3 because one could be wrong, 2 could have different answers, but with 3 you have to have more of one answer. Even if you are not pregnant, you need to figure out what is going on with you. It could be that you are so scared that you are pregnant your body is acting like it is pregnant. It could just be gas. Have these symptoms been going on for a long time or just today. If it is just today, I would think it is more likely something like gas. If they have been long term, you need to find out what is causing them.
Hope this helps!

Have your doctor do a test. When did you do the last pregancy test? It could be a false negative. It really sounds like you're pregnant. The flutters are your little baby moving around. It feels like gas bubbles, but your baby is just swimming around in there.
I know that you are nervous, especially if you're not married, but many mothers make it on their own. Parents are also a lot more understanding than you think they'll be. I had to tell my Dad when I was pregnant and single. I couldn't believe how well he took it. He was excited after a few days when the shock wore off. There is alway adoption if you don't plan to raise the baby yourself. Either way, you need to get to the doctor for appointments. You might be able to get an ultrasound a few weeks to see if it's a boy or girl.

You sound like me. I didn't even know I was pregnant until Febuary. I got pregnant in the beginning of december. When I went to the doctors and had a pee test done back in December to see if I was infact pregnant (because I missed my period and I never did before), they misdiagnosed me as having a CYST. I did my own research and got a second opinion because a little voice inside of me told me that they were full of it, so I went to the local pregnancy center and got a second result. Turns out I was pregnant all that time and the people that diagnosed me with a cyst didn't know what they were even talking about! Also, when they said I had a cyst, they perscribed me vicodin which I didn't take because I knew I didn't have that. You should definitely get a second opinion other than a pee test.

It truly SOUNDS like you are pregnant!! It could be an eptopic pregnancy and you should DEFINATELY go to the doctor RIGHT AWAY!! Sometimes it doesnt matter HOW FAR ALONG you are... you body may not be making ENOUGH of the hormone to pick up in urine tests. Have your doctor run a BLOOD test and you should know for sure... you should also tell him ALL the symptoms you are having.. he might want to do an ultrasound to be sure.
Another thing is that the MIND can do really strange things and if you are CONVINCED in your mind that you are pregnant than you could have a "fantom" pregnancy! I had a friend who so DESPERATELY wanted to be pregnant that she truly CONVINCED herself that she was and had ALL the symptoms of pregnancy... but it turns out that she wasnt (however after another 1 1/2 years of trying she FINALLY got the baby she was hoping for!!)
I'm glad you are going to the doctor... he/she can tell you what to do from there!! Good luck!

Well, you have all the symptoms early in pregnancy. But because you're so worried it could just be in your head. Psycosomatic. But home pregnancy tests work almost all the time. But there is that lil tiny chance it doesn't for you. So you definitely need to get that blood test, if your doctor thinks you may be also.

if your going to college, you can go to the health center and get a blood test done for $20...and if you have health insurance, the insurance pays for the blood test that your OB can give you. at this point it would be worth it to pay the money to get the blood test done, just so you're not worried.
