Inside the towers, that would have created first a bravo fire then an alpha fire (as the fire spread to the walls, insulation, desks, and any other wood or paper).

Pyroclastic dust clouds are created by dense clouds of dust or ash that start in a contained area (like inside a building), and the amounts are large enough to create a slurry. The towers were at one time the tallest buildings in the world, so there would have been a lot of combustible materials inside to create an ash slurry.

In Yosemite National Park, a portion of Half dome collapsed and it blew trees down for a mile.
