One of the pieces was prob only 50-75 dollars and the other was a hundred. One is a amathyst necklace/earing set the other is a "promise ring" both are like new...but im pretty sure ive read they give you almost nothing for it. So is it worth it or is there some other way/place to sell it for a more reasonable profit?

You'll probably be offered less than 1/2 of what you paid.

You might try eBay.

What you can do is take them to the pawn shop and see how much they will offer you - and then start you e-bay listing at that amount!

(If you aren't a "seller" on eBay, you can take it to one of the companies that does it - and see what they will list it for & their fees. I *think* there is a link on e-bay to authorized sellers.)

Not always. I pawned a 500 dollar italian ring for 150. Big mistake! Pawn shops usually go by the weight of the piece and they rarely give you its retail value. Try selling it to someone you know is interested. Or online.

Avoid pawn shops - they are the worst.

Try E-bay, craigslist.com or a local consignment shop.

The safest thing to do is to try to sell the items to a friend, family member or aquaintance @ a fair price.

Ebay or take them to a jewlery store and see if they will buy them from you.
