at that age she should be OK if you get a little portable swing (fisher price makes some) and a folding play gym/toy type thing. If you have a laptop that don't need to use at the office, you could also consider using that every now and then to play some Baby Einstein DVDs. I would also say that a baby carrier like Baby Bjorn is a must. Especially if you need to get her to sleep and can't be rolling your stroller around the office. Good luck and congrats on having such cool co-workers!

I worked in an office where people did that. An attorney brought in her newborn & asked me to watch him. I was a nervous wreck because I didn't want any liability for the baby. When the baby began to crawl, she let the baby crawl all around the office, even where people walked around a corner very quickly. You couldn't see the baby around the corner until you were right on top of it. Very dangerous. Luckily nothing happened. Also, baby cried. When this attorney did dictation, the baby cried on the tape and the person who transcribed the dictation got to hear it twice! Very rude. NOT A GOOD IDEA!!! Makes co-workers VERY NERVOUS!!!

Its great that you can do this too. Although Ive tried to work from home in my corporate job with a baby and its a lot tougher than you may think . Definitely need a speaker phone, but then again definitely need a mute button.

I know Ive read something on this somewhere (companies that do it), probably Working Mother magazine. Id go out to their site and search or even use their message boards.

I would say bring whatever is necessary to keep the baby happy. My sis-in-law took her son to work with her fow a bit (law office). He was much younger, but she kept him happy in his bouncer seat that also vibrated.
Is there room for a swing? A play yard?

Never done that before, but that is absolutely awesome that you get to do that. Thank your employer for that opportunity. And good luck with it! God Bless!
