Vienna is a beautiful city, full of history. You may wanna learn some of the native language, but lots of English is spoken there. I have been there twice.

I plan to eventually move to Vienna so i'll jump into this question.
You will have a 100% BLAST! If you like a very traditional and very proper culture, they beat almost any of them.
Definitely bring good looking clothes, or you will be out of place. LOTS of business people so over half the downtown people wear suits and ties.
Try jumping into a Classical Music concert, they beat all of them in the United States. They also cost alot of $$, but it's well worth it.
About 85% of them can hold an english conversation so I wouldn't worry too much. The ones that can't are your McDonalds workers or waiters.
It's one of the safest cities in the world (look it up) so you can enjoy yourself. I would def. learn some of the language if you plan to live in Vienna however.

Vienna is an absolutely gorgeous city. There are so many things to see and do. Don't forget to see the Spanish Riding School (Spanische Hofreitschule). The horses and riders are amazing and is a must see and full of tradition. It's as safe as any other city, and yes, most of the younger generation speaks English. You should learn a couple of words though, just to get around and also to speak to the older people. They have such character! Plus, it makes people feel good when you at least try.
Guten Flug und Viel Spaß! (Have a nice flight and lots of fun)
