watch it, it will help you decide what to do.
also concider the fact that vacination or not your child will have a chance of becoming sick..whooping cough measels, pox, mums,etc.. vaccines are not 100% effective...and if you are leaving soon you might want to think of how babies immune system will be weakened from the vaccine for a while.

My answer may not be popular, but I'm a believer in vaccination. There were some absolutely nasty viruses that used to be common and used to leave a trail of devestation until vaccines became common. Polio is all-but eradicated in many parts of the world because most people are immune to the disease thanks to the vaccinations.

HOWEVER, in other countries the disease might still be present because of a lower rate of vaccination.

I would speak with your family doctor about what vaccinations are absolutely needed when travelling abroad (depending upon the country in which you are going, you may be required to get vaccinations that aren't part of your local vaccination schedule). Your family doctor may have some better insight on what your son will absolutely need to protect him.

Good luck. And have a good trip!

Why isn't your child vaccined? You should consult your Dr. who has all the facts on your child's health. If there was a med reason for no shots then there may be worse effects if he contracts a disease from another country.

Do you mean child hood vaccinations?

Check with the CDC on where current breakouts of disease are occurring world wide.

I know that some religions teach against vaccinations. But I don't understand why parents otherwise opt out of them.

I remember having All the Rubellas, mumps, chickenpox.... My mother remembers whooping cough, she nearly died... my children were blessed NOT to have to suffer these diseases. My grandfather got Mumps from me in his 70's he was soooooo very sick with it.

Vaccinations are a blessing!

Get your child vaccinated! Even if you are staying in this country, your child still needs to be vaccinated.

a child needs to be vaccinated in order to protect their bodies from tetanus, polio- can cause you to loose control over muscles in your body you get this by drinking water or eating food with polio virus in it (this is more common in other countries, not Canada), and measles, mumps etc these dieseases can kill you so research it a little here's a web site www.toronto.ca/health
