MaryBridget is correct in only part of a sense. All Jews are zionist however it has to be defined what is a zionist. All religious jews pray for the return to zion 3 times a day but orthodox or charedi jews were opposed to the founding of the state. The reason is that the state of israel was founded by anti religious jews whose zionism was based on secular values as opposed to religious values. Orthodox jews did not want a state of affairs like this(excuse the pun) but rather believe in waiting for the coming of the messia who bring a true return to zion. Fact is jews still pray for a return to zion nowadays even those living in Israel. As the asker stated. zionism as colloquilly understood is most definitely not judaism

There are enough Zionists in the US to make up for the "non Zionist Jews". There are somewhere close to 200 million Zionists in the US alone. You might want to read up on what a Zionist is. I'm not Jewish but I am a Zionist.

Zionism is a basic part of the beliefs of almost all Jews. Only a few Jews on the fringes are against Zionism. The fact that you heard very little from anit-Zionist Jews properly reflects the fact that they are insignificant in number and do not reflect what is accepted to be Jewish belief.

Give it up. Jews do not support your political motives.
