I had the Honda Shadow VT750 Aero 2005 and it is a nice bike , Put Vance/Hines pipes on it to make it sound good ,You would not believe how fast that bike is off the Line ,I smoked everybody (Except Sport bikes) I let a few people ride that bike because they didnt believe how Quick it was and they came back believers ,Maybe I just had an Exceptional 750 ,But you would be pleased with the Bike .Sold it to my Best friend and He Loves it , Now if your doing 70 down the Highway and need to get around a Semi the bike dosnt have that kick but starting off it will GET IT ! Hope this helps in your decision
Peace

I have a Honda Shadow Aero 750 and I love it. It is very reliable and smooth shifting. You will be glad you bought the Honda. Honda means quality.

The Shadow Aero is a nice bike. Shaft drive, Liquid cooled, and I found it a perfectly balanced bike. Nice low seat.
Really, the Yamaha has no advantages. I think it's even more expensive too.

The 650 V star has a habit of throwing a rod at about 45-50 thousand miles! I have a pile of them behind my shop! All with a thrown rod! Free for the taking!
