It would be a start if they wanted to do that. but u see one of the biggest American lobby's is the one of diesel industry and the other is the weapon lobby(the lobby's are the biggest and more power full companies that are sponsoring!!! the politics campaigns) this is one of the biggest problems of capitalism democracy. Its hypocritical because the power its not in the people but in the god U.S trust most MONEY . Its a chain reaction, we make a war, we produce weapons (the military contracts are the biggest) then we take cheap oil-cheaper products, and you have an economy that rocks.Cheap 5litre cars, cheap oil, big consaption Big earnigs for all.Everybody is happy in america. Know imagine you are not invating oil productive countries. The diesel price is like in Europe 4 times more expensive .Everybody the next day would be driving hybrid cars and the biodiesel would boost the us agricartural economy. The earth would have a chance. No terrorism, but everyting thats related with oil is more expensive. OOps unpleased voters and someone weapon and oil lobbys would be out of job (think only all of the jobs related with weapon industrie, u never bite the hand that's feeding u). U see everyone with a little brain know that's wrong ,that there is a solution but they are all to satisfied with their lives as they are so no reason to change anything. YEs biodiesel is a great weapon to fight terrorism but you will use it when normal diesel run out. The cost of the lives lost by the terrorism seems to be to small then the cost of a great change. It will happend one day but not for the right reason only because no other solution will be left.

i urge to selection. The bio diesel does not burn in a popular diesel engine. It has to have common changes to achieve this. no longer having those mods will ruin an somewhat high priced engine. yet I believe using it and that i've got faith ethanol could want for use besides.

Not even a little bit, no. To fuel just the nation's cars with biodiesel, you'd have to plant something over 90% of America's land with crops just for that purpose. In addition, of course, oil is used for more than just fuel. Even if you could replace oil as an energy source, it'd still be a strategic commodity.

It's a help. But the greatest blow against terrorism is to stop messing with their countries. Get out. Stay out. Stay away. Don't have diplomatic relations. Make them forget we even exist!

It is a good step in the right direction. We will never be totally free from the use of petroleum, it is used in too much stuff to be able to be completely free of it. The strides we are making in biodeisel, ethanol and hydrogen will certainly cut back on our rate of consumption, and that is certainly a step in the right direction.

it would stop us giving money to governments that support terrorism... whether we know they do or not... so it may not be the greatest blow.. but it is definitely a step in the right direction.
