If you're not a communist, tell him you just believe people should be paid what they're worth, ie a living wage, and that it is the job of government to protect that right. earning a living wage is so little to demand. it still means being a slave. to be a free human, you have to earn more than just your bread. most people earn less. they are worse off than slaves.

nah, just build a wall between you. You can be east and he can be west. Just talk through the wall. In about 30 yrs or so you can tear down the wall and get married.
