"British Gas is not only the UK's most expensive energy provider, it also provides the worst customer service - according to research from Energywatch.
The consumer watchdog said complaints about British Gas in the six months to September were twice last year's total, while complaints about its rivals fell".

This is an unbiased report, copied from the internet.
Change your supplier, and put British Gas bills thru the shredder. This may go against the grain for an honest bill-paying person - but you will get instant response. They have more time for people who do not pay their bills than for those who do pay.

You can change your supplier through the internet.
Good luck....and blox to British Gas.

You should go to Energywatch; they deal with customer complaints for the energy industry. They can make BG get things done for you.

Ofgem are the industry regulators and can't deal with your type of problem.
