Never personally. I have gone online and looked them up before. They are actually in San Antonio (unless they moved, I stopped watching Flip This House after A&E changed it up). If you go to the Bexar County website, you can look up when people went to court. There are some Montelongos with court case history. Also, there was some information in the Better Business Bureau. Watch out, there is a Montelongo construction that I have heard is a decent outfit and they have nothing to do with the Montelongos on Flip This House. Do not confuse the two.
If you really want to get to what kind of people they are then I would advise getting a San Antonio phone book and looking up general contractors. Go thru the list and call each one and ask if they had done any work with the Montelongos and if they would recommend you doing business with them. If you are doing this out of curiousity then this may be too much. If you are thinking of doing business with the Montelongos then it is a very wise decision to investigate them fully. Spending a few hundred to prevent losing thousands is always a good idea.
