She could be like chinchillas. She might dust herself instead of bathing in water. I have heard of people camping using fine sand to "wash" their hair.

The monkeys licked her clean I guess. You know how they like to groom each other. I'm sure they got all the lice out and such. I wonder if they have a sandpaper tongue like cats do? Hmmm....
