It seem they get to the cliffhanger point, then leave you hanging at the most critical junction of the story. Some fan fiction sites post the writer's emails. I have contacted some authors. Most never respond. Some say they they didn't know where to go next with the story. This only begs the question "Why did you start it in the first place, then?"

I stipped a fic a few times. I try not to, but sometimes I start to really dislike the idea of the story or think it's bad. I try not to do this unless I REALLY think my story is bad, but that may be the reason. Either that or people just get bored with fandom in general.

start up writing with despite you opt for for to place in writing. in case you have an concept for unique fiction, write that. in case you have an concept for fanfic, write that. in case you sense like your unique fiction concept is in basic terms too massive which you will start on precise now, then see in case you are able to think of of a few thing appropriate - a narrative out of your character's childhood, for occasion, or perhaps the story of a few thing which happens off-digital camera on your important tale.

They do it to get money. They leave you hanging so when the 2nd book comes out you'll want to buy that one and see what happens.
It's called business.
