I'm going to make my friend a shadow box for her graduation present. It's going to have her basketball pictures, a ticket stub from when they made it to state and a state semi-finalist patch. What else would be good in there?

Some reminders of her study time, like a wrapper of her favorite food, (filled with stuffing to look like new,) a miniature of the bag/pencil-case/diary she would always use.
Maybe a small toy animal wearing her daily gear, (jeans and uni sweater or T-shirt?) or dressed in her sports outfit.
A photo of her room or a reminder of something in the room.
A ticket (copy or drawing of one) she would have used to go home, or a bit of the road map and a photo of the car she would have used.
And of course a small reminder of you, something only you did share with her, or a photo with the both of you.

Remember that in a shadow box you have layers, the road map, photo of the dorm building or car or train can cover the back, only to be seen where the foreground is open, the things that are your main items, like the ticket stubs, should be in the foreground and central, like overlapping some pictures.
