I prefer to go in October or February. The Summer is WAY to hot and humid for me. You can pick up good deals on travel pretty much any time as it's such a popular destination, but avoiding school holidays is always a good policy. Also if you can book at short notice.

One of the best times is right now before schools get out. My husband, daughter and I are going to the Nickelodeon Hotel on the 22nd of this month because they were having a special. We got the room for $129 a night when they go for over $400 after Christmas. And yes, another good time, but not necessarily cheap is right after hurricanes. The tourists don't want to come to Florida then and the parks are really empty. We live in Florida and went to Epcot one time after a certain hurricane and we were literally walking on some of the rides. I'd rather go to Disney when it's cooler because it gets really hot down here in the summer with the humidity.

I would say either January or May.... I went last year the first week of May and the parks were pretty empty, we didn't really wait in line long for anything, maybe 10 minutes top on some of the rides at Magic Kingdom, some of the rides we didn't we didn't even have to wait in line for. I would also go during the week, because our last day of the trip which was Friday, the Animal Kingdom was busy with school field trips and we did wait to ride all of the rides there. The weather was mild & very nice in May. I hear January is off peak but the weather is not as nice, on the colder side, but cheaper to stay at Disney properties.

September, after the kids go back to school, through early November is good, but we're still in hurricane season then, so weather may be a factor. However, Disney area rarely is affected by hurricanes.
January through early March is the slowest period, before Spring Break and Easter.

South of Tampa, on the gulf coast, the rates begin to go down after Memorial Day, back up around the July 4th holiday, and then stay down until the Labor Day holiday.

whenever there isn't a school holiday - check this out and that will be the cheapest time. The fees get bumped up for the holidays so unfair on parents.

howdy, how long are you making plans on staying in disney? I reccomend between the fee lodges like pop century or between the all famous person lodges, they have a video clips, game and song themed lodges. staying in a disney motel means you dont pay for transportation to and from the disney subject parks, in spite of the certainty which you will discover that eating can nonetheless be somewhat high priced. you are going to be able to get a young toddlers eat unfastened equipment which might income you plenty. different factors to evaluate is are you making plans on hiring a automobile? are you making plans on going to well-known and the different parks interior the area. once you have thought approximately those then you definately ought to truly sit down and artwork out a precise costing and artwork out what the main inexpensive is. I artwork for expedia trip and can desire to be honest as a trip consultant and a familiar florida tourist i might reccomend hiring a automobile in case you opt to work out different places than basically disney because of the fact taxis will value you extra advantageous than hiring a automobile.

I went the the Keys last September, and they told me Dec & Jan were the slowest and cheapest times. I'm going again in a couple of weeks, and the hotel price is twice as much as it was last fall.

Having lived, unfortunately, in Florida for a brief time back in 2001, I can tell you that there IS NO best and cheapest time..."Snow Birds" (Canadian's) are going down there all year round..and spring breakers fill in the rest of the time...
The prices for any "tourist" stuff are ALWAYS high...When I lived in a popular gulf area, prices were always steep...and geared towards visitors...(have you ever heard of the term "tourist trap"????

I went to Florida last November during the thanksgiving week. It was warm enough and not expensive. On thanksgiving day we went to Universal studios and because everyone was stuffing themselves with turkey, there were no big queues. The Friday after thanksgiving is known as black friday when all the shops have huge sales. I sorted all my Christmas presents out.
