I dont see how the monarchy would retain any respect or admiration with any of her children or grandchildren taking over.

I think you mean how long will it last following the Queen. Charles will become king as soon as she dies and the monarchy will continue (despite the unconstitutional fantasies of the anti-Charles brigade on this site). Abolishing it will be fiendishly difficult - the government wanted to abolish the lord chancellor and found that was too much hassle - as will finding a satisfactory replacement, as the Australians discovered. The monarchy in Britain will last a long time even as respect for it diminishes, but what you might find is that some of the dozen or countries which have the Queen as head of state will become republics once she dies. As you say, neither Charles NOR William will command the same respect she does.

I like Prince Andrew of York. You do not hear much negative things about him. He grew up , became a men. Has responsibilities. I would like him to step up and become the head of the household.
Prince William will than know of his responsibilities. He is a very sensible, serious young men.

Yes, I do. I think William will do fine. Charles, of course, will be bi-passed in my opinion
