Please help! Columbia Co. is real bad at what they are suppose to do. Here's the thing; they do not allow calls to your case worker. They say you must write a letter requesting that they look into your case. But they are not getting back to me either. So I called the D.A. to see if I could file contempt of court through them ; and they said they need a referrel from Child Suppport. But they are no help either. Someone Help Please........State of Wisconsin/Coumbia County

First thing you need to do is print off the administrative complaint form:

http://www.dwd.state.wi.us/dwd/forms/dws/pdf/DWSC_14363.pdf

then fax it to their controlled correspondence liaison: Mary Saunders at 608-742-9823

Also fax it to Carla Weber the regional administrator: 920-448-5306. (She will need a copy to follow up for the state.)

That is a start. I would also call/email or write your Congressman (nothing motivates like state officials) and ask that he help you get enforcement of your child support order. You can find them here by your address:

http://waml.legis.state.wi.us/

After you've done that, call the Columbia County Clerk's office and ask which county board oversees the Child Support office. Get the names and addresses of the board and the Chairman. Write a letter to the Chairman of the Board and copy each member. Tell them WHY you're unhappy with the services you ARE NOT being provided and how they've failed to respond to you. While the State oversees them, the county board hires and fires them--the state can not!

Good Luck!

My sister actually got in contact with the state of WI for her child support. She lives in Lincoln County, and she still went through the state as opposed to the county. The state responds much faster because they want their money. Once the state was involved, the county seemed to move much faster on her case.

Contact the State of Wisconsin Department of Health and Family Services. She went on line to get the phone number, and I believe she also e-mailed them.

Good luck!!

1) Write a letter to your local office and send a copy to the State Child Support Office in your state, give them a time frame to respond to you and advise if they don't you will contact the Governor's office
2) If the do not respond by the indicated date, call your Governor's Office and complain
3) If these aren't working, call your local Senator's office and complain...that usually gets quick response
4) If they are really bad and many people have problems, write the Federal Office of Child Support Enforcement and complain about your county
