Oh Bush and Rice are ridiculous. I think they have proven by now they have no credibility left whatsoever. All they do is lie. First they say we stand down when they stand up. Then they say we can't train them to stand up. When does the lying end with this administration?
They don't want the Iraqis to be accountable because then that means their precious war would be over.

Of course not. There is no way they will ever be able to defend themselves. Reason #2 for us not going over there. Reason #1 is we had no reason to go in the first place. The world is maybe an iota better without Saddam, but he was no threat to us. There are many people that are 10 times the threat to us that we haven't even batted an eye towards yet.

The way the Democrat plan is drafted, we withdraw if they meet deadlines (because they don't need us) and we also withdraw if they fail to meet them (because that will prove it's a "failure.")
Maybe we should start setting deadlines for the terrorists to withdraw!
I guess they don't presently have the strength to fully defend the country, but their forces are indeed growing.
Heck, we didn't even hold France responsible for their own country!

By whom? The would be dictator who conquered them? 78% of the iraqi people want the US out. And they are fighting the US and the puppet government we forced on them. Sounds like they're taking responsibility for their country pretty well.
