Pretty sure he's still alive, and pretty sure we'll only catch him when he slips in his strategy.
You can't fight scrappy terrorism with superpower military might. It's like a giant trying to squash a gnat by swatting at it. Smaller movements are key, not wide sweeping actions.
I've said this a ton of times: you can't fight terrorism if you don't understand it, and you definitely can't fight it with traditional warfare. We need someone in office who understands how terrorism works and how terrorists think. And what right-minded American is going to vote someone into office who truly understands terrorism?
EDIT: Bill, what'd you do to make Vakari the Spammer angry?

We can catch him, if that's what you mean. No problem there. He's more useful on the run. He's an excuse to maintain a military presence in the Middle East and for support in prolonging the War on Terror. I'd say he is in witness protection.
I'm not joking. Look at how easily we got Saddam. He was on the run for a long time too. When we needed that "shot in the arm," he was hiding in someone's backyard; it was staged.
Villains create a need for good guys. And good guys are given more power when villains are on the loose.

What you state, I totally agree with. Our concentration should have been on Osama and Afghanistan. We have absolutely no business being in Iraq and we were duped into going there via a lie coming from our very own President. And that shall be his legacy, but meanwhile we need to bring our troops home.

Osama Bin Laden is still alive and very much functioning, he has fled Afghanistan and is now working out of Pakistan. the problem here is that we have no access to Pakistan and can not capture him.The Pakistani government will not let us go into Pakistan in search of Osama. I do however believe that Osama does not have as much power as he used to and other al qaeda officials have taken over.
