my prom is this friday, and the girl i am taking i have been friends with for a long time. i am a senior, she is a sophmore and her bf is a sophmore.

when i asked her to prom she was signle so she decided lately that she would still go with me and her bf was kinda uneasy but said ok....

$500 LATER she decided to tell me that by going with me she is putting her realtionship into a risky spot and told me last night she is not going anymore... all the reservations and everything are paid for... and now she wants me to visit her afterschool today..

what do i do? about her and about prom?

She doesn't know the meaning of friendship, and neither does her new boy friend. What's the big deal? Doesn't her b/f realize that she accepted to go with you before she met him. You invested $500 bucks.

From what I can see you were her friend but she was not yours. She will learn what "friend" means when her b/f ditches her. Then she will come running to you for a shoulder to cry on.

Try and get another date, I know it is late now. If you can't then go yourself, and have a good time as possible. Hey you never know, you might even meet someone their.

Congratulations on your upcoming graduation.

Tell him how it is. He asked you so he's the one that should be paying for the tickets and all of that. If he's not willing to do that then yeah dumb is a**. Don't worry about the sh*t he might say because all it is, is sh*t. Let him try to boost his ego by spreading lies about you. You'll know the truth and that's all that matters. Hopefully when you're prom comes you'll find a decent guy to take you. One that will actually pay for the tickets.

I understand where she's coming from but its really unfair what she's doing just ditching you. I'd tell you to go over her house and really talk with her. Tell her that she's a friend to you and the prom is really important. You guys were friends before this guy came along so why put you friendhsip and feelings in jeopardy. I'm sure you are feeling bad but she should try to understand. You guys are friends and relationships (if their healthy) shouldn't tear you away from your friends. Seriously talk to her and let her know whats up.

Happened to me a couple of years ago. The getting ditched by my date part. I solved it by, going with friends!!Just go with a bunch of friends and their date. Its much better than going alone...About your friend, well can't really blame her but it would be better if she says no to you when she started dating the guy. At least you have the right to mad at her you know, even if she's your friend and all.

You must have other girl friends you could ask. Don't waste the night and all the money you've spent worrying about this! Just get another date!

well, she's backed out, so all you can do is ask someone else, or go alone
