"A" means "not" here, the way "atheist" means "not a believer in God." So it means not sexual. And there really are asexual people out there, who don't want sex of any type.

The way you have chosen to spell it means sexual, the spelling "asexual" means not sexual. Another example is: a symmetrical object, meaning the object is symmetrical, an asymmetrical object, meaning the object is not symmetrical.

It means you reproduce without actually doing anything, like intercourse. The only thing that I know of that is asexual are sponges. Sponges are actually living things and reproduce by "budding." Which basically means little sponges grow out of the initial sponge.
