yes, just remember that they pre-authorize the card so it might tie up more funds than required in your checking account. If possible, rent it with a credit card, but then use your debit card when it comes time to pay the bill.

get a credit card.....how else will you get a plane ticket, rent a room, etc. Then pay it off at the end of the month and strengthen your credit rating
