I agree with the first three premises:
1. Death of Woolmer
2. Defeat of Pakistan and India
3. Too Long Schedule
However, the following were having no significant affects:
1. Bogus Teams (Not sure who are bogus!)
2. Booking (what is the exact meaning?)
3. 36 over ridiculous final (If the match was played the next day and it was raining too then what would you have done?)
Victory of Australia is well deserved one!

Everything action has negatives & possitives. Unfortunately there were more negatives which should not have had taken place, but it is in no ones hands. Death of Woolmer, Defeat, 36 overs final & Victory these are the things which are not in anyones hands. A death is a must for every human but no one knows how, when, where it will come. Defeat is the hard efforts put in & the luck favour, 36 overs final well rain is not in human hands it is natural. If the match is post pond then the entire schedules are affected, which will creat too much problems. So look for the positive things, & I hope West Indies have learnt valuable lessons from this WC so hence forth they will keep these in mind.

The tournament went for way too long, Bob Woolmers death, the farcical end to the final after the Sri Lankan batsman took the light whick should have been the end of the match. How can you say Australia winning when they flogged everyone else.

Death of Bob Woolmer, early exit of India and Pakistan, rain curtailed matches and the fiasco in the final have made this world cup worst.

On top of your list (that I agree with) , the pricing out of the home nations on the ticket front. Ever since I was a kid watching cricket I thought that the atmosphere in the Windies looked absolulely brilliant, they were not allowed to make this the carnival event it could have been. The organisers just wanted the money and turned it into the worst world cup in history. Bring the game back for the people, dont copy football !!

I am a proud Australian and I'm not the least bit sorry for the losing teams and if they have the type of person that is asking these defeated questions about the hows and why Australia won it is reasonable to say they beat the rest of the worlds inferior cricket players as soundly as it is possible Go Aussies Go.~~

in every world cup , we face a death, worst defeats, bad schedules, betting, ridiculous knockouts ( D/L Method ), victories !
only the names and teams change every world cup !
The victory of Australia, though I wouldnt call it incredible, but it was a deserved. No other team at this point deserves a world cup as much as the Australians ... whether or not we might accept it !

THERE HAS BEEN A LOT OF THINGS GOING IN THE WORLD CUP. SOME WAS BAD OR GOOD. MALINGA GOT 4 WICKETS IN 4 BALLS . HERSCEULLE GIBBS HIT SIX 6S IN AN OVER. INDIA AND PAKISTAN NOT GOIN 2 2ND ROUND. DEATH OF WOOLMER. HAYDEN SCORING THE FASTEST 100 IN WC. BRENDON MCCULLUM SCORED FASTEST 50 IN WC. GLENN MCGRATH AND BRIAN LARA RETIRING. THE WORST PART WAS THE FINAL. THEY COULD HAV STARTED THE MATCH THE NEXT DAY. I WANT A REMATCH. AND THE RESULT WAS THE WORST PART

All of it apart from the last statement - Australia played welll in every game - they deserved to win the cup (BTW i am english)
Also I am pleased that a couple of the smaller nations got through - cricket interest is booming in Irelabd now - can only be good for the sport. the test playing nations should not automatically assume they will qualify they need to paly well in their games.

Woolmers death. :(
India and Pak doesn't deserve to be the part of super 8. The team performing well should only be the part of super 8.
