LOL... I had a woman who was a Jehova's Witness get annoyed with me when I would say God Bless You when she sneezed... She was weird... I guess because people see coughing as germ spreading... I know that when you sneeze EVERYTHING stops.. your heart, your breathing.. everything.. so people say God Bless You....(maybe that's an old wives tale!!..lol)

Sneezing used to be thought of as releasing spirits out of your body. Very old wives tale. They say your heart also stops.

I'm going to answer this one for real.
Because when you sneeze you close your eyes.
You don't have to close your eyes when you cough.
They used to believe that when you closed your eyes then the devil could get into you. I'm not sure if he was supposed to crawl up your **** or how he did it though.
