Think of all your interests & ask yourself if any of those could be expanded into a business. Just keep in mind...what's your expertise? What are your interests? What could you imagine yourself doing?

By researching the prospect of starting your own business -- what it entails, what you need to know, helpful hints, etc -- you'll feel better prepared to take that plunge.

I found some book titles that are relevant to your specific question:

Starting a business is really worth the effort. These are some suggestions:
1. Get into the industry of something you really, really like. Something you're passionate about. That way you make sure you won't quit too easily since you're enjoying the work. (i.e hobbies). Do not ever invest in something you don't clearly understand.
2. Start by providing the service informally to friends and relatives. Practice will make you the best. If you can't find anybody within your friends and relative that's interested in your product or services then forget it, it probably won't succeed in the real market.
3. Find a mentor. Carefully study somebody who has done the same you thing you want to do or at least something similar and learn form this person. If you can ask this person to personally give you some advice it's even better.
4. Carefully study your state's laws and regulation for setting up a new business. Get advice form a lawyer if possible
5. Teamwork. Do not do it on your own. Once you're on the road. Get some help from a reliable lawyer and accountant.
6. You will need some knowledge on accounting, tax regulations, marketing. If you don't like to deal with math and numbers, start changing your mindset.
7. Are you good at taking care of your personal finance? If you aren't, start reading about it.
8. Consider franchising. It's way more expensive but it reduces your chances of ending up in bankruptcy.
9. Hint: the internet and computer related businesses might make you a millionaire when you are innovative.
10. Determination, determination, determination.

Hello to all you hard workin' Mommas!! My name is Emma and I have a beautiful baby girl! She is my World After I had my daughter, I knew i had to be there watching her grow up every step of the way!So then of course like all of you i had to start looking for another way of bringing in some type of income so my fiancee didnt feel like he was alone. When I found this AMAZING team and company, it was by pure luck and chance. I wasn't really looking for a work from home job, because I didn't think a legitimate one existed.....I'm glad I was wrong!

I'm not sure what it was that attracted me to this particular company......

Was it the fact that they had been in business for over 21 years?

Was it because they were an Inc. 500 CO. and had great ratings w/ the BBB?

Or maybe it was the safer, healthier products they manufactured?

No, while all of those things were GREAT, I think what ultimately attracted me to this company was this person behind the add. She was a mom just like me!!! She had a life, a family, a 6 year old and a 4 year old daughter! It gave me a little peace of mind knowing that a real person had created this and if they could have success in this business, then why couldn't I?

So, I took the chance and I'm SOOO glad I did. To my surprize, the same person who's advertising I just read was the exact same person who called me back!!!! She wasn't one of 10,000 people sitting in some call center. I could hear her little girl running around! Right away she set me up with one of their conference calls and I found out even MORE awesome details about this AMAZING team and company......

The startup cost was only $29!
There was NO stocking, NO selling, and NO distributing!!
I could work when I wanted to work!

The first step is to decide what you want the business to do for you. If you have a passion, skill or talent that can be made into a business that you will enjoy doing then your chances of success are much greater. I wrote and article called Life Plan First then Business Plan
http://www.home-based-business-solutions.com/business-plan.html
that will give you an idea of how to get started. I also have some other articles that explains step by step what you need to do to get a successful business off the ground. The link is below.

well in business everyone grows and starts out slow and earns profit from profit and customer after customer, do specials and discounts customers would be able to pay for products. and to the most wisest thing to do before you go into business is to have plenty of money for you and your company in case something goes wrong or your company goes under.and you can start a internet shopping zone where people can buy with credit cards or checks.like ebay.and if your gonna need employees get good employees who know what they are doing and will carry your company far into the future.

i guess a restaurant where there are a lot of people and little or no competence at all would be a good business. Something that people buy a lot, and open it where there is no competence
