party with out crying? Every song I have chosen I end up crying like a baby. What should I do????

If you know someone else who sings well, why don't you ask him or her to sing the song for you? You could share a few things about your precious daughter as an introduction to the song. In your introduction, share with your daughter that you wanted very much to sing the song, but that your love and pride for her overwhelm you to tears. You could also tape your self singing the song to her, as after about 5 or 6 tries you will probably be able to sing it without the tears.

I also have a daughter who is graduating. I have stage fright so I can't sing in front of a crowd however....my daughter will be singing. I love the choices of songs.

Cry while you sing the song. That's what mom's do. I don't think anyone will be bothered by it unless you just start sobbing on the stage.

pre record keep singing till it doesn't bother you and know it is best not to sing if you are going to cry that you leave for your audience, leave the crying or laughing and you have it made.

perhaps have the song play with a montage of pictures of her school days. my brother sets pictures to music and has it set up on a lap top or monitor screen at the gift table. people love going by and looking at it.

Pre-record it and sing along at the party. I had that problem at my youngest sister's wedding. I sounded horrible.
