9/11 conspiracy theorists claim that, since fire cannot melt steel, the WTC buildings must have been purposely blown up. In fact, Rosie the Clown even said that it was "The first time in history that fire melted steel".

Well, the laws of Physics must be changing, because it melted steel, AGAIN!

Can you imagine? The first two cases, EVER, of fire melting steel, only about 6 years apart! How amazing! Does anyone have any idea why the laws of physics are changing so rapidly?

---But shhhhh! Don't tell them that steel must be melted, by fire, to be formed in the first place! Shhhhhhh!

The steel doesn't have to melt. It just had to be weakened. That combined with the other structural damage to the building caused it to collapse. All it took was one floor to give way. After that it was like falling dominoes.

BTW. To my knowledge, the structural engineering firm that worked on the WTC has never publicly raised questions regarding the collapse.

Wrong !! The world trade center collapse was not the first time fire melted steel, and the truck you mention was not the second time. Every piece of steel ever made was melted by fire, and if Rosie and her idiotic admirers would learn about things other than diversity they would know this and be a little less anxious to make fools of themselves. I guess Rosie feels smart because she doesn't realize what a fool she is, and according to the rules of political correctness and diversity feeling smart makes one smart. Now that we know fire melts steel, let's find out if fire will melt some of the lard off Rosies hips. Ever seen the Buns of Steel videos?

I never knew Rosie had said that, very good satire. Yeah im not sure how you could say that steel can not be melted by fire LOL. We build out steel to withstand fires but if it burns hot enough (like it would have at the WTC, and here at this gasoline fire) it WILL melt. How does Rosie think steel is formed anyway?

What many forget in the WTC is that it had Gas Pipes in them. Yep Utility floors on several levels using gas for heating systems and of course the large restaurant and cafeterias Large gas mains that surely helped in the Burn. Oh and perhaps an expolsion or 2 as gas valves shattered. the WTC had been designed with planned Obsolecence to ensure when the Buildings were to be razed in 100 years it would be cost effective and that they would fall on the foot print. Steel does melt with fire, How else would vikings make steel weapons with nothing more than clay and wood fires?

yeah, I just laugh at the conspiracy theorists on that one. Its not worth the breath to argue with them.
I shut them up with the whole steel is made from fire...duh. And when they recycle it, duh... they melt it into other things!
All of their "theories" have been disproven, especially by a popular mechanics article, written by a self avowed democrat/Bush hater who is a structural engineer and demolition expert who explained that it would actually be impossible to bring down any of the WTC buildings in the manner in which they came down. Never mind it would take dozens of 18 wheelers full of explosives and THOUSANDS of mile of wire, det cord etc to do it, months to set up etc. Nobody saw this? The Secret Service, FBI, DEA, State Police, Customs etc, etc just what? Left their desks while the walls where dismantled and then ignored all the wires hanging down? 50 plus THOUSAND people and visitors ignored all of this? People who lost family, friends, coworkers, their jobs???
Wow, for all the name calling of Bush, he really must be good to silence all these people and pull of what is alleged with not one, not two, not three but four builings...not to mention all the partially demolished ones. Thats one hell of a conspiracy. For a dumb, incompetent bunch of losers (A/P the loons) they really pulled it off!

Yeah, I'm with you on this.
My attitude, especially with Rosie is, hate the Prez, hate the war, hate Republicans...but be rational and sane about it. Have valid points, valid arguments and a valid view. If these people actually has a point or an original idea, they would not have to resort to stuff like "fire melting steel".

OK I'm done...

I find that so funny considering steel is formed into different shapes by melting it. All people have to do is look it up. Or even try going on a tour at a steel mill. I know Rosie could convince someone to give her a tour.

My grandfather and father are both metallurgists, STEEL WORKERS, and Rosie has got to get a clue! Her vast, seeping and IGNORANT statements are very dangerous! More so than the stupid comments made by Imus (in my humble opinion of course)...but yeah, shhhhh...don't tell them how steel is formed int the first place! What a bunch of morons!

Steel is made by melting. Guess what, folks. Steel melts.

The fire has to be very, very hot to do so but it does melt steel.

This is a video of a skyscraper in Madrid. It burned for about 18 hours. The flames were very hot and the same kind of steel used in WTC.
It was standing the next day.
