In Detroit in 2000 a gasoline tanker truck exploded on the elevated overpass exit ramp from I-75 to I-94. Also the explosion of a gasoline tanker truck will leave a big crater in the highway.

A gasoline tanker crashed and burst into flames near the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge creating such intense heat that a stretch of highway melted and collapsed.

It may not seem that burning gasoline is so hot but burning gasoline has a temperature above 1500° E (945° C). Therefore, it can heat objects in the fire area above its ignition temperature.

Steel is not an element. It is a compound. The melting point of steel depends on the mixture of the elements it contains.

Iron (Fe) is an element that is the main component of steel. The "melting point" of iron is
1535.0 °C (1808.15 K, 2795.0 °F)
http://www.chemicalelements.com/elements/fe.html

Steel is an alloy comprised mostly of iron, with a carbon content between 0.02 % and 1.7 % by weight, depending on grade. Carbon is the most cost-effective alloying material for iron, but various other alloying elements are used such as manganese and tungsten.

At what temperature does a floor truss begin to sag if it is not coated in fire-resistant insulation? How hot can a fire burn if it is well (very well) ventilated? 1000 degrees F? 2000 degrees F? According to NASA jet fuel CAN burn as hot as 3000 degrees F. See this video to understand how the WTC tower 1 and 2 collapsed...the drywall was the "inside agent"

The high temperatures of the burning jet fuel, steel, plastics and other components made the whole area intensely hot and structures nearby were irrepairably damaged (building 7).

Rosie O'Donnell will be leaving "The View" in June. Rosie O'Donnell used emotion to obfuscate fact and her celebrity status to rally people to impeach President Bush. On "The View " Rosie O'Donnell adamantly declared that, "it was the first time in history that fire melted steel' (in building 7 of WTC).

First of all, you need to stop calling people dumb and look beyond the obvious. Perhaps the building materials were inferior -- therefore, the fact that the road collapsed might point to some problems that we need to fix in our construction. Bridges and roads carry millions of pounds of weight daily and vehicles traveling on those roads also create heat. Perhaps we need to rethink our construction methods? If the materials originally used in the construction were inferior, then we need to find better materials and use better inspection methods. Also, why did the concrete collapse? If the steel was simply reinforcing the concrete, then perhaps the concrete was also inferior or maybe the concrete pouring was problematic -- had too may air pockets for example. Maybe that truck was carrying some special mixture of gasoline and maybe the truck hitting that structure in just that place was deliberate and an act of terrorism. Think about it. Where was the road? It was a major artery to several other roads, wasn't it? If you can limit access, you can cause all kinds of trouble. Before you discount conspiracy theories, you need to look at things from every possible angle. Conspiraces could be "cost cutting conspiracies", not just terrorist conspiracies. We need to disect all these events. We need to analyze the materials. Investigate the construction companies that built the buildings and the roads, find out where the materials came from, do more inspections on our imported goods and even our domestically manufactured goods. We need much more quality control than we currently have exhibited in the United States over the past 20 years. Some 100 year old bridges, even though they are outwardly crumbling still have the capability of handling thousands of cars and heavyweight trucks daily. Even some railroad bridges appear to be crumbling and are capable of handling these huge weights. I'd like to suggest that the next time we are planning to destroy a very old bridge or an extremely old high rise, instead of imploding it or blowing it up, why don't we use gasoline and study the results? We might find out that we changed something that has allowed our structures to weaken. How about something as simple as steel content? Think about it. The Chinese added melamine to wheat gluten to increase the protein content and the result was to sicken and kill animals (and we have no idea if humans are being sickened and/or killed). If the content of that steel and concrete has the raw material content adjusted, this could be just the beginning of our problems. We need to wake up and investigate like we've never investigated before! These are our infrastructures. What if we had volcanic activity? How much heat would those structures withstand?

The WTC and a bridge are built different. WTC was built with steel beams, the bridge is re-enforced concrete but I bet you can come up with a good conspiracy theory with that.

Yeah, I can't wait to hear what she has to say about that. I can see it now, she will probably say Governor Swarzenneger and President Bush thought up the plan so they could make traffic worse and then try to blame it on Iran or something. It wouldn't surprise me anyway.

There was no molten metal at the scene. There was molten metal at WTC for weeks. jet fuel does not melt steel. The gov't reports even admit this. You should enlighten yourself and read.

Truthspeaker.....if you read the article you would have read where it says "melted." actually it was about the 5th paragraph from the end.
