I am having my second home birth and am thinking of using a homeopathy kit for labour and afterwards. What have your experiences been when using these? I have been to a certified homeopathy person (!) and will be getting comprehensive instructions and doseage. The kit contains everything they say that is needed for labour, birth and healing but having never had experience of this before would value some advice / stories.

I had both my children in Germany where they are very open minded about different treatments. I had homoeopathy to relax me and it really seemed to help. I would definitely recommend it, plus you have the added bonus that it won't have any adverse affect on the baby. As for afterwards, arnica is fantastic for bruising and helps speed up the healing process. I tore very badly with my first and took arnica, I was comfortable enough to drive within 48 hours. Quite a few of my friends have used the kits you can buy, Helios and Ainsworths both do a kit for childbirth - might work out cheaper to buy the kit from them.

Best of luck!
