Is there anyway I can save them. I was told to prune them back, but how low should I prune them? And if I do will they bloom again this summer?

Just prune them like you normally do after the spring flowering. What was killed by the frost was just the flowers, buds, and tender new growth. As long as you just trim that part off, they'll be fine.

I'm in the process of trimming mine right now, although I'm doing a pretty severe cutback this year just because they've gotten too big.

you will have to prune the dead leaves off. i am so sad this year because of that frost . i wont have pecans ,blueberries , lilacs and a few others till next year. my gardenia however kept her buds . i think it is probably just effecting spring blooming plants. it is a sad thing.
