If you will put 6/60 and reduce it you have 6 into 6 =1 and 6 into 60 =10 so it is 1/10 of an hour. Simple fraction reduction.
1/6 of an hour would be 10 minutes. (1/6 X 60/1= 60/6 When you divide 60 by 6 = 10 minutes).
Doesn't your teacher show you how to analyze and break down problems? This is a very simple fraction problem that you could also solve by taking a picture of a clock, dividing it up like a pie and then determining how many minutes are in each piece. Since there are 60 minutes in an hour, there are five minutes between each number 12-1=5 minutes. Many clocks have dots for minutes and when the little hand goes around from (say 12 to 1) the big hand moves to a new dot every minute. If your clock has a third hand (usually a different color than the other two) every time that third hand circles the clock, it's another minute. Each time the third hand crosses a dot, it's one second. 60 seconds equal one minute and 60 minutes equal one hour.
You should print this answer out and then ask your teacher to explain how the answer is determined. If she/he can't answer and explain the answers, you need to take the paper to the school board and let them know you are being cheated out of a proper education by a teacher who can't explain how to get the right answer. At the very least, the teacher would need some remedial training. On the other hand, if you are simply not paying attention and expecting others to help you, then you are cheating yourself and you will feel the pain later in life when you won't be able to get a decent job.

It would be 1/10 of an hour. This is because if there are 60 minutes in an hour, then 60 divided by 10 is 6.

an hour has 60 minutes, so it would be 6 minutes out of 60 minutes, which in fraction means 6/60.
simplify that and you will get 1/10 or 0.1 or 10% depending on which way you want to present your answer.
