Quite simple really, bachelor life is more fun to them, no responsibilities, no one to answer to, they can go anytime it pleases them, but when they get married, responsibilities will occur, they have limit time to come home, once in a while they need to explain where they been, and last but not the least they only belong to one woman....

The same reason we all like forbidden fruit. We have the perception that it will taste better. We have a bushel of apples in the cellar, but the one on our neighbor's tree across the street just looks plumper and redder. Pretty soon, our bushel of apples feels like "settling". It doesn't have to be this way. The men I know who have been married and are now divorced regret any actions on their parts which led them to being bachelors again. They genuinely miss their wives. Marriage can be fun if it is with the right person.

If this was true, why would any man ever get married?
I think it is fun when you are younger, but doing all the bachelor stuff will eventually get old, and they will want to settle down with somone they love, and will grow old with. So it just depends on the maturity level of the man....

if a guy is single, he doesn't have a gf which means there's no chance of being emotionally hurt by a girl(yes, guys are more than just sex)
there's less drama, and yes, less responsibility when one is alone, and sometimes less of a hassle... guys who have been hurt by partners in the past would obviously be reluctant to get emotionally attached to another woman.

Because marriage life "ties" him down, doesn't get to do what he wants anymore. Doesn't get to mess around with out the fear of losing everything, HAS TO GROW UP!!!!! The men that I know that want the single life again after they are married are the ones that are grasping at their youth, blaming their wives for taking it away, wanting something that they think is better, more fun, exciting. God it must horrible waking up to the same woman that had your kids, held your head when you were sick, washes your underwear, cooks your meals cleans your house, and provides for your sexual needs, Damn that must just suck out the @ss.
