they shouldn't have to, when I was in Nam I can say it did effect the moral, I persoanlly think that we should re-institute the draft and start with those singing songs and carrying signs! 9/11 was a wake up call, Al Queda is in Iraq, Iran is on the verge f nucular weaponary, if we don't stop them now, we'll see more 9/11s on the home front.

Part of living in a "free" country means that you get to protest what you don't like.
BTW: Have you heard that the Bush Administration LIED about Iraq's involvement in 9/11, and that they LIED to the American public about the reasons for going to Iraq? That MIGHT be why these people are protesting... don't you think?
P.S. I do NOT fault the soldier's for doing what they are told as that is their job. Getting rid of a brutal dictator like Saddam Hussein was a good thing - LYING about the reasons to do it, however, in my book is and always will be inexcusable. Three-thousand-plus American troops and tens of thousands of Iraqi civilians are dead and/or maimed for life because of the Bush Administration's lies. I'm shocked that millions of people aren't asking for their "heads to roll".

That is a question I keep asking myself. For as long as there are evil people in the world who seek to disrupt the lives of others, and do them harm, there will have to be those with the courage and the determination to fight against them. We can never allow ourselves to forget the wisdom of whoever it was first said "For evil to thrive requires only that good people do nothing". Good people are doing something, and in the case of our military, they are doing it voluntarily.
I get disgusted with the altruists and the "peaceniks" who seem to believe - and want us to believe - that all we have to do to turn the hearts of terrorists and fanatics is simply "play nice". What utter nonsense. They are bullies, hatemongers and oppressors, and the only thing they understand is a force greater than theirs by people with the courage and the ability to stand against them in defence of themselves, and in defence of those who cannot fight.
Not too many decades ago a handful of similar, self-styled "peacemakers" attempted to appease Adolf Hitler, who laughed behind his hand, and went on to become one of the most demonic monsters of our time until Saddam Hussein and his two evil sons. All praise to our valient Military, and all praise to a Commander in Chief who had the courage to terminate the terror reign of that evil threesome.
If it were left up to those in our country who believe we should embrace our enemies and those who seek to destroy us and our culture, in a few decades from now we would all be speaking Arabic and praying to the east; and those same people would be wringing their hands and crying "Oh why didn't our Government do something to stop this from happening"
I don't give a damn whether Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction or not. I believe he did, and we just gave him all the time and space he needed to sneak them out of the country, but either way it doesn't matter. He would have before much longer had passed. He, and other braintwisted megalomaniacs like him still in existence, are cut from the same cloth. They are fanatics who cannot be reasoned with, or turned into "friends" any more than you can calm a rabid dog with gentleness.
As long as there are people like that in the world, those who have the ability to stand against them must do so, and that can only be done with a strong military, and dedicated and determined young men and women who willingly go to make that stand, so that we who remain at home keeping the wheels of our society turning, can continue to live in the peace and security that we have become all to complacent about. Freedom has never been free. It has always been gained at a high cost, and it is only at a price that we can continue to enjoy it.

Voluntarily?? Not ONE of those soldiers over there now is there voluntarily, they were ordered there, ESPECIALLY the national guard. If they protest or disagree with their deployment the administration has deemed that treason.

Last time I checked the Constitution there was a reference to free speech, and also the fact that Congress has the ultimate control over war. Since the soldiers pledge to support the Constitution then they should be cool with that.

I fail to see how US citizens voicing their concern for the health and welfare of the military force currently trying to police a civil war in a country that never asked for us to be there is causing them to suffer.
The suffering comes about when they are shot or blown up for a cause that has never been specifically stated.

Becuase one thing that people have a hard time understanding is that you can NOT support the war and yet still support the troops....Not everyone who hates bush and thinks the war is bad is against the troops.

Take your Constitution-hating @ss back to Iran, if free speech is so odious to you.
Is that your band that you're pimping out with the link? How much are you being paid to spew empty pro-military "music"? The music vid posted was godawful :\

We can't blame those back home with self lack of knowledge on what went wrong out there living in misery in own backyards in planet of apes.
Even if we give them the truth who will ever believe it in planet of apes?
When living human kind even kick the butts of our creator in planet of apes.
But the boys and gals out there in the field knows the real things that taste like coke out there were for the good of mankind in planet of apes.
They were out there not at their own whims and fancy but to save the survival and advancement of all the little one at home and abroad in near and far all over planet of apes.

They shouldn't have to. It's demoralizing to them. How would you deal with it. You're over there, its 120 degrees outside, and you're doing something you chose to do, and there a re protesters back home saying that we lost.
